For better or worse, we put our hair through a lot in pursuit of great locks, which can lead to some seriously unhealthy strands.

Depending on your hair type, summer can be an especially trying time, with problems like humidity-caused frizz, UV damage, or dried out locks from frequent dips in the salty ocean or worse, a chlorine-water pool.  Whatever your reason for lack-luster locks, a hair oil can to provide some much-needed conditioning and softening, in addition to important protection from heat or sun damage. But with so many different products to choose from, it can be tricky to commit to just one, and preferably one that actually makes a difference in the texture and health of your hair. For a little help making a decision, check out some of the hair oils that passersby love and recommend most.
