An Idle Afternoon is a time dedicated to slowing down, relaxing, and reenergizing, offering a temporary refuge of calm in the heart of Downtown Manhattan where Soho and Chinatown meet. We value mental breaks that allow us to be more productive in our usual routines, and we’ll be offering a variety of relaxation activities to help you unwind throughout the day.
Take advantage of our thoughtfully designed lounge space featuring furniture from west elm, beds from Floyd, and mattresses from Casper while reading one of the books recommended by passersby, available in our curated library. Enjoy tea served by The Primary Essentials in mugs from past passerby Helen Levi and soothing sounds and music in our Sonos Listening Room. The Ritualist will offer skin consultations and light acupressure. Document your afternoon of being idle by taking a selfie with one of the instant cameras provided by Lomography.
The Passerbuys Lounge will be open in Canal Street Market throughout the month of April and will be the location of numerous other events.
